HO! HO! HO! Santa’s here with his extra-tall hat and loads of festive cheer! These quirky, long-shaped gourd Santas are a one-of-a-kind creation by master gourd artists Lizzet and Rodolfo from Cochas, Peru.
The process is pure magic: first, the gourds are dried, cleaned, and color-dyed, then Rodolfo hand-draws each Santa. After that, the real fun begins—hand-carved with intricate details and finished with a technique called pyrography, where the gourds are burned to create rich, darkened accents. Every Santa is unique, with natural variations and personality!
