Add some whimsy to any room with this adorable bird hand carved by artisans in Kenya out of natural soapstone and fairly traded. Artisans begin with a chunk of soapstone which they hand carve into a design, sand it until it's smooth, and then polish it.

Since the bird shows  the natural colors of the stone, some color variations should be expected. One can often see shades of cream, gray, pink, and brown in the design.
