The tote is made from recycled plastic cord by artisans in San Cristóbal, Totonicapán, Guatemala. The linings are made by artisans in Santa Cruz La Laguna from upcycled jaspe ("haspeh"), a traditional textile woven on a pedal loom. Jaspe includes intricate patterns of different colors centered around one primary color.
Each Cesta tote comes with a decorative tassel. They are very durable and easy to wipe down/clean and the linings are machine washable.
