Wedding Chuppah, Quilling Card, Vietnam

Celebrate the special day with this unique card handmade by artisans in Vietnam using the ancient art form known as quilling and fairly traded. Each card takes one hour to create.

Paper quilling is the art of cutting paper into long thin strips, rolling and pinching the pieces into different shapes, and then gluing the shapes together to form decorative art. 

Chuppah means “blanket,” or “protection” for the couple and is a traditional symbol for many wedding ceremonies. The handcrafted design features a chuppah made of birch tree trunks with pink, yellow and orange flowers on its top corners. There is a black lantern hanging from the center along with some starfish. There is a printed watercolor background of a beach.
