Couple/Twin Soapstone Cat, Kenya

These cat couples are a fair trade product handmade in Kenya. They are hand carved out of stone, sanded until smooth, dyed, and polished. Then an artisan uses a knife to etch the patterns into the red and purple cat couples. The black cat couple is smooth with no pattern.
